2019 Australian Summer of Golf

The 2019 Australian Summer of Golf again proved a successful one for Searoo Sports with all clients making the cut in the PGA Tour of Australia’s marquee events the Australian Open and Australian PGA Championships.

Dimi Papadatos found himself in familiar territory contending for the Australian Open held at The Australian Golf Club sitting in a share for 2nd place through Round 3 before freak events on holes 9 (hit spectator, ball into water) and 12 (ball stuck in tree, unable to identify) brought an end to his charge and saw him finish in T16th.

Aaron Wilkin (T33) Ryan Chisnall (T46) Daniel Gale (T54) and Matthew Stieger (T58) all produced solid play throughout the week in what was a strong field.

The Australian PGA Championships held at Royal Pines RACV Resort on the Gold Coast saw Ryan Chisnall make an early charge for #TeamSearoo to sit in 9th position after 2 rounds.

The weekend saw Daniel Gale and Matthew Stieger make a charge in this European Tour co-sanctioned event however late errors in rounds 3, and 4 would ultimately prove costly.

The 2019 edition of the PGA Championships would mark the last at Royal Pines, with the event moving to Royal Queensland Golf Club in 2020.
