Sam Burgess joins #TeamSearoo

Published by SRoo2017 on

One of the greatest leaders the game has seen, Sam retired at the end of the 2019 season following a series of shoulder injuries. A dual-international having represented England in both League and Union, Sam is best remembered for his heroics for his beloved South Sydney Rabbitohs in the 2014 NRL Grand Final where he claimed the Clive Churchill Medal.

Sam now moves into the next phase of his career in the Media and has appointed Searoo Sports to guide and assist his post-playing endeavours.

Sam becomes the first non-playing client of Searoo Sports marking an important milestone for the business. The learnings Sam has acquired over his 15+ year playing career, across both codes will serve as a fantastic sounding board for both Searoo management and fellow clients.

In his short media career to date, Sam has emerged as a strong figure on key issues such as player welfare and the importance of preparing for post-playing life, issues which Searoo Sports place at the forefront of our management philosophy.

We look forward to working closely with Sam through the next phase of his career.
